And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,
for those who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28
Dear Friends,
Things don’t always go the way we expect. Tuesday, we received word from the FAA that Kenny’s medical has been denied. This was not the outcome we anticipated. Kenny did incredibly well on his stress test—the nurses were even surprised he was required to take it—but the FAA made their decision because his ejection fraction is just 1% below their requirement.
You might think this would leave us discouraged, but it hasn’t. Our hearts are at peace because we know God is in control of every step. While Kenny won’t be flying for now, he will continue managing the flight school and will also step into another much-needed role at MARC: helping with the scheduling of daily ministry flights. We can already see how God had planned this transition, and we trust His timing and direction.
We are so deeply grateful for your continued prayers and support since Kenny’s heart attack. You have walked this journey with us, and that has meant more than words can say. Even in this unexpected news, God gave us a gift of encouragement—the artery that once showed a 70% blockage is now completely clear.
Please continue to pray with us as we process this new season, seek God’s leading, and work toward Kenny’s full recovery and eventual medical reinstatement.
With gratitude and trust in Him,
The Hancocks
